How Do I Request a Louisville Police Accident Report?
- Open the form. Use the Louisville Police records request form.
- Identify the record. Colorado law requires a request specific enough to identify the exact record. The form asks for the type of incident, case report number, location, date, and the name and date of birth of the person involved, plus how that person was involved, such as victim or witness.
- Choose the record type. Select “Traffic accident report for the involved party” if you were in the crash.
- Upload your ID. The form asks you to upload a copy of a valid driver’s license or government-issued identification.
- Sign the statement. You affirm the records will not be used for the direct solicitation of business for pecuniary gain, as C.R.S. 24-72-305.5 requires.
The department shares the record with you by email.
Can I Get Body Camera Video From a Louisville Police Officer?
Yes, select digital media on the same form. Louisville Police explains that processing requires a technician to research and/or fully play back the photos and video, verify each person’s involvement, and redact them under Colorado law before release. That is why video is billed at $30.00 per hour, and requesting footage from several officers or a long time frame increases the cost.
