Can I Get a Broomfield Police Report in Person or by Mail?
Yes. The Broomfield Police Department Records Unit at 7 DesCombes Drive, Broomfield, CO 80020 provides crash reports for $5 by mail request or walk-in service, Monday through Friday. Call the Records Unit at 303-438-6420 to confirm hours and report status before you go.
Broomfield Police asks people to allow at least 24 hours for a report to be received and processed by the Records Unit, and some reports may take up to 72 hours to be released.

Does Broomfield Police Keep a Copy If I Reported the Crash Myself?
No. When Broomfield Police did not respond to a crash, the crash still has to be reported to the State of Colorado. You can do that in the Broomfield Police Department lobby, by mailing the state’s printed crash report form, or online through the state’s traffic accident report system. Broomfield Police states that it does not keep copies of crash reports created through these options.
Broomfield Police lists the situations where this applies: Accident Alert, crashes on private property, and hit-and-run crashes where the victim left the scene before reporting and has no suspect or vehicle information. For Accident Alert and private property crashes, it also requires that no one was injured or killed.
